Tamley Architectural Design is a full service architectural firm specializing in custom residential design. We work together with our clients from the initial project ideas, into the design phase and through to completion of the project. Tamley Architectural Design provides the highest level of detailed service to each specific client.

We strongly believe that a home can be designed to successfully meet the ever-changing needs of a growing family for years to come. Therefore we specialize in designing homes, which respond to the needs of each member of the family, including the dog! The goal is to create inspiring, comfortable and healthy spaces for our clients. Some of the most important factors include; creative layout for specific functional needs and aesthetic tastes, optimal natural light and ventilation and a strong connection between indoor and outdoor spaces to embrace this wonderful California climate.

Serving Marin for over 14 years, Tamley Architectural Design’s custom approach has created successful projects within a broad range of architectural styles. Each project draws from a personalized approach, focusing on the clients aesthetic tastes, architecture of the existing home, region or neighborhood, the history of the site or the local environmental influences.

The Principal Architect

Theresa Tamley is the principal architect of Tamley Architectural Design. Over the past 20 years, her primary focus has been on residential projects in the San Francisco Bay area.

Mrs. Tamley graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 1991 with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree. In 1996 she became a licensed architect in the State of California and in 2000 started her own practice, Tamley Architectural Design.

For the past 12 years she has been incorporating “green” and sustainable building practices into her projects. She is a Certified Green Building Professional by the National Association of the Remodeling industry and Tamley Architectural Design is a certified “Green Business.” The firm received a “Best of Houzz 2012″ for service.

Theresa lives in Marin County with her husband, two young boy/girl twins and her two dogs. She loves to spend time outside with family and friends gardening, hiking, camping, mountain and road biking, and swimming.
